So thrilled to have the opportunity to exhibit at Science Museum Oklahoma. Below are videos and images from my exhibition, Out Of The Toy Box. This was an incredible collaboration with the museum, which included my installing 12 behind-the-scenes setups to give viewers a glimpse into how I create my images. It's astonishing to see the actual setups in person, juxtaposed with the final images on the wall. Together, they demonstrate the magic and unlimited possibilities of toy photography. It was incredible seeing both kids and adults alike view and engage with my work in person, as opposed to the more typical scrolling and viewing images on a phone screen.
This video shows my BTS setups on the gallery floor. These setups, along with the overall scale and quality of the exhibition, are what makes Out Of The Toy Box such a unique, engaging exhibit.
This is an interview I did with KFOR News 4's Katelyn Ogle, one of four interviews I did with Oklahoma City news stations.
And a few more images...
Out Of The Toy Box opened on May 18, 2024 and runs through August 2025. If you find yourself in or around Oklahoma City during its run, go check it out. And plan on staying a few days in Oklahoma City - it is an amazing city to spend some time in!
A huge thank you goes out to the incredible team at Science Museum Oklahoma, with a special shout out to my partner in creativity, Alyson Atchison, Director, Galleries and Collections. And I can't thank my wife Jenchi Wu enough for her invaluable help with installing the BTS setups on the gallery floor, and for being there for me, wherever and whenever I needed her. Lastly, thank you to Boss Fight Studio and Schleich USA for their ongoing partnership and support.
